BACKGROUND
Risks hidden in everyday life
We found that cooking with the pan is a typical scenario in our daily life, but there seems to be some risks while using it. We tried to figure out what's in this scenario and how to improve the cooking experience for our loved family members.
34% of the kitchen worker suffers from wrist injuries due to the overweight cookwares.
The average weight of pan is 1.5kg, making it the heaviest one-handle cookware in user's kitchen.
INSIGHT
It is not the weight cause the physical damage, but the improper gesture and overexertion.
Torque is the key
Torque is the key to control the pan. It could be more effortless if the lever arm strengthened.
Distributing pressure
The small contacting area on pan handle can hardly distribute the wight pressure.
Solve it smart
Comparing to reducing the inevitable pan body weight, improving the maneuverability is more feasible and effective.
CONCEPT
Extending the lever arm to double the maneuverability
Contact area increased
The extended part of the handle increase the contact area between hand and handle, which make it more steady to hold, but also distribute the pressure to the hand, making it more comfortable when cooking.
Bigger torque and better fitting curves
To improve the comfort when cooking with Easy 2 Handle, the surface of the handle fits all the curves and shape of hands very well.
Adaptable on varied cookware
This design could be widely applied to different kinds of cookwares as well as different size. The clients even used it on a knife!
