Hachi Infinite M1 Pro turns any flat surface into a smart touchscreen, allowing you to use the desk surface or even the floor for smooth office work, learning, and entertainment. With the product's high-precision sensors, you can use your fingers to directly operate and mark on the projected screens and share with others on a big screen, just like using a smart phone or tablet.

CONCEPT
One design for dual usage positions
A singular form factor designed for two high-performance modes. In vertical orientation, the device enables an interactive tabletop touchscreen via ultra-short-throw projection and intelligent hand-sensing. Shifted horizontally, it transforms into a cinematic short-throw projector, bridging the gap between tactile interaction and immersive entertainment.



AnyTouch technology
The spatial touch technology turns a flat surface into an interactive screen. It recognizes fingers without a stylus. Multi-touch is smooth and the interactive experience is exponentially improved.


MOODBOARD
Showcasing material characteristics through intriguing design language
Considering one of the primary change is transitioning the housing from aluminum to plastic, we leveraged the best attributes of PC (polycarbonate) and proposed a seamless, approachable, yet compact design to convey a smart and intuitive spirit.

Physical buttons provide a sense of familiarity and intuition, bridging the gap between users and the cutting-edge technology.


Designing for 360-degree visibility
To accommodate Vertical Mode, we minimized the elements on the back, ensuring a clean and uncluttered appearance since the back side is exposed and clearly visible in this orientation.










CHALLENGE
Balancing manufacturing efficiency and aesthetics within a tight timeframe
The task was designing the second generation of the product from scratch, aiming to achieve cost-effective production and an appealing user experience. However, with only three weeks to complete the design, we faced significant pressure to innovate quickly while ensuring the final product met all functional and visual expectations.

APPROACH
Analyzing inner component layout to identify constraints and opportunities
Detailed internal space-planning allowed us to maximize the design envelope,
identifying the tightest possible radii while maintaining structural and functional integrity.

PROCESS
Design for assembling efficiency and
calibration accessibility
The enclosure components were consolidated into a two-part assembly to enhance precision and manufacturing efficiency. By aligning parting lines with the assembly sequence, sensor modules remain easily accessible for fine-tuning both during and after the build process.


DEVELOPMENT
Vent pattern design for airflow and structural integrity
We engineered a custom vent pattern by balancing open-area ratios against structural demands. This refinement ensured effective airflow and material reliability while maintaining a premium aesthetic. The result is a high-performance detail that enhances both functionality and form.
